How i work

I believe that good data work starts with asking the right questions. Every organisation, dataset and context is different β€” so I begin by listening. What do you need to understand? Where are the gaps? From there, I define a focused scope and build solutions step by step, with clarity and transparency at every stage.

My workflow combines environmental insight with technical precision. Depending on the challenge, I use tools such as:

  • Python & R for data wrangling, modelling and analysis
  • SQL for structured data handling and querying
  • Power BI & Tableau for interactive dashboards
  • QGIS & remote sensing for geospatial analysis and visualisation

I choose tools based on what fits your needs β€” not the other way around.

Most projects follow a simple but flexible structure:

  1. Exploration & scoping – understanding the challenge, setting goals
  2. Data audit – reviewing available sources, assessing quality
  3. Analysis & modelling – building tailored workflows or dashboards
  4. Interpretation – translating numbers into insights
  5. Delivery – reporting, visualisation or integration into your systems

I often work iteratively, sharing early results to align and adjust as needed.

I aim for clear communication and practical outcomes. I’m comfortable working independently, but also enjoy co-creating with internal teams. Whether we work on-site, remote or hybrid, I ensure that results are understandable, documented and ready to use.

Projects can range from short exploratory scans to multi-month dashboard development or policy support. I adjust my involvement to match your timeline, scope and capacity.
